Mahkamah Tinggi George Town menetapkan 9 Februari ini untuk pengurusan kes bendahari PAS Pulau Pinang Iszuree Ibrahim yang mencabar keputusan Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang berhubung pemecatannya daripada semua jawatankuasa tetap Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang (MPPP) dan pembekuan peruntukannya.
    
Penolong Kanan Pendaftar Nor Azah Idris menetapkan tarikh itu di dalam kamar selepas bertemu peguam Mohd Haris Abdullah yang mewakili Iszuree.
    
Mohd Haris memberitahu pemberita tarikh itu ditetapkan untuk mengetahui perkembangan berkenaan kebenaran yang dipohon oleh anak guamnya dalam kes itu.
    
Pada 14 November tahun lepas, Iszuree memfailkan permohonan semakan kehakiman dengan menamakan Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang sebagai responden pertama, MPPP sebagai responden kedua dan kerajaan negeri Pulau Pinang sebagai responden ketiga.
    
Beliau memfailkan permohonan itu untuk membatalkan surat responden kedua bertarikh 26 September 2014 dan keputusan responden pertama yang dibuat pada 25 September 2014 yang telah memutuskan Iszuree dikeluarkan daripada semua jawatankuasa tetap responden kedua dan pembekuan semua peruntukannya.

Beliau juga memohon kebenaran mahkamah untuk membatalkan surat responden kedua bertarikh 29 September 2014 dan keputusan responden pertama yang dibuat pada 25 September 2014 yang telah memutuskan bahawa beliau dikeluarkan daripada semua jawatankuasa tetap responden kedua, mesyuarat ad-hoc dan pembekuan peruntukan secara serta merta.
    
Tuntutan lain yang dibuat ialah sekiranya mahkamah menerima kedua-dua permohonan itu, Iszuree juga memohon perintah sementara untuk menggantung keputusan responden pertama yang disampaikan kepadanya melalui surat responden kedua bertarikh 26 September dan 29 September 2014 sehingga usul substantif didengar.
    
Beliau juga memohon responden pertama, kedua dan ketiga membayar ganti rugi kepadanya seperti yang ditaksirkan oleh mahkamah kelak dan kos permohonan sampingan ditanggung dan dibayar oleh ketiga-tiga responden dalam apa keadaan sekalipun.

That kind of price is still considered cheap to buyers from countries like Singapore and Hong Kong."In that way, such a cooling measure may not be so effective, and may even result in the opposite by boosting property prices when local owners find that their properties have higher values if they sell to foreigners," he said, adding that Malaysia was not like Thailand, where there was control on foreign ownership of properties.Such a situation may be a problem in George Town, where the Unesco world heritage site is located, if owners of pre-war buildings sold off their premises to foreign buyers or increased their rental.Chow said rental rates went up after the Rent Control Act was repealed in 1997, but some residents and businesses in the city managed to survive.He admitted that some tenants were in for another wave of rental hikes and evictions resulting from the property boom in recent years, which encouraged property owners in the city to increase their rental or sell off their premises for profit."It is very difficult for the state government to control property transactions."In recent years, the city had also seen many of its old buildings refurbished and converted into hotels and chic cafes either by their original or new owners, or tenants, to attract tourists.The latest of such projects is at Lebuh Chulia, where the owner of a row of shophouses is evicting her tenants by April 1 to refurbish the lots into a hotel. Some of the tenants, including a chemical supplier and a machine workshop, have been there for more than 50 years.Some concerned citizens are seeing these new tourism and commercial-driven developments as a threat to the city's remaining residents, old trades and businesses that give George Town its unique culture, character and charm.In some cases, the evictions spell an end to the businesses and trades all together because the tenants could not find a new place in the city to set up shop because of high rental rates.Although some of the trades are considered part of the city's heritage, there is no law to protect intangible heritage.Chow, whose state constituency of Padang Kota is partly made up of the world heritage site and its tangible and intangible heritage, said the state government was looking to the soon-to-be gazetted Special Area Plan (SAP) for the Unesco world heritage site as a preventive measure.He said once the SAP was gazetted, all future applications for planning permission and others would have to conform to the type of activities prescribed for a particular area in the heritage site.He said the heritage city would be divided into various precincts, and the land used for the different precincts restricted to certain types of activities."Any particular activity will have to conform to the plan, which will also ensure that there will not be too many of the same activity going on."The control the state can exercise to try to balance progress and heritage conservation in the heritage city is at the planning and development stages, using the SAP," he said, adding that the plan will hopefully be gazetted this year after its Bahasa Melayu translation is completed.The long-awaited SAP will guide and control development within the George Town World Heritage site, which has more than 90 Category 1 heritage buildings (monuments, ancient buildings gazetted under the National Heritage Act 2005 and formerly the Antiquities Act 1976) and more than 4,000 Category 2 buildings of special interest that need to be preserved.The plan, which takes into account the existing characteristics of the different areas in the heritage city, covers seven different building and land use activity zones, including tourism and leisure, trade, waterfront and jetty. – January 28, 2015.

I will do whatever is necessary to defend Malaysia's unity and am prepared to face Ibrahim Ali or anybody else in our courts. Truth and justice will always prevail," he said in a statement emailed to The Malaysian Insider.He said peace and stability are the nation's "invaluable" wealth and the Barisan Nasional-led Federal government always strived to preserve these two pillars, which he described as “national treasures". Failure to protect, preserve and strengthen the nation's unity would lead to the destruction of the country's economy and development, he added."As a minister overseeing national unity, I made a stand to not tolerate racial and religious bigotry tearing apart the fabric of this harmonious society. It is both my responsibility and mission to see such incidents of extremism nullified," he said.In its suit filed at the Jalan Duta High Court earlier today, Perkasa claimed that Kurup had allegedly labelled the group as extremist.Perkasa is seeking an apology from the Sabah minister over his remarks as well as damages.In its statement of claim, Perkasa claimed that in two statements made on December 24, 2014 and yesterday, Kurup had allegedly accused Perkasa and another Malay non-governmental organisation Isma of being bigots who must not be tolerated.He had also allegedly said “we must not condone their extremist voices and actions".Perkasa said the statements implied that it was an extremist group that used religion to spark violence and cause unrest in the country. The alleged statements also suggested that the group had caused fear and disunity in the country.Ibrahim said because of such statements, Perkasa’s reputation has been damaged and the Malay rights group was viewed negatively by the public.However, Kurup yesterday said he did not mention Perkasa nor did he refer to a specific group when dubbing extremists who play up racial and religious issues as “public enemy number 1"."The simple logic is that if these extremists are instilling fear in our society, jeopardising our painstakingly built unity and trying to hijack the Malaysian way of life, they are, therefore, the nation's public enemy No. 1," he had said in his opening address at the 17th Malaysia Strategic Outlook Conference 2015 yesterday. – January 28, 2015.

The 24.6 inches measured in Boston made it the biggest January storm on record.Most school districts remained closed Wednesday, and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh urged residents to stay off roads as much as possible to allow access for plows and emergency vehicles."We have more than 800 streets to plow after the sixth largest storm in our history," Walsh said Wednesday. "I'm asking everyone to be patient."Walsh added that he expected the city to be fully operational Thursday."We are going to be fine," he said. "We are going to rebound. We live in Boston and we have to expect snow."The region did slowly come to life Wednesday as roads began to open, flights resumed and trains, buses and subways ran on limited schedules.Still, the relentless force of Tuesday's blizzard stunned even winter-hardened New Englanders. The snow was accompanied by wind gusts in excess of 70 mph. The entire island of Nantucket lost power for hours as the mighty storm blasted an area from eastern Long Island to Maine.In Marshfield, Mass., the storm punched out a 40-to-50-foot section of a seawall. "Just the volume — it's crazy."The National Weather Service said the storm tracked 50 to 75 miles farther east than expected — a win for New York City. Arizona measles outbreak reaches 'critical point'

The outbreak has the potential to be far worse than the state's last measles outbreak in 2008, he said.Humble said the number of cases will "absolutely" continue to grow."I am certain we will have more just based on the sheer number of people exposed this time," he said.Health officials believe the Phoenix-area woman recently diagnosed with measles may have exposed as many as 195 children to the disease at the Phoenix Children's East Valley Center on Jan. 20 and 21.OPINION: When smart people make stupid decisionsRELATED: Measles outbreak reaches Pinal CountyRELATED: Measles case in Arizona linked to DisneylandMaricopa County officials were in the process of contacting the children's families Tuesday. A hospital official told 12 News that the woman was not an employee and it was not known why she was at the facility.Humble said that although officials have a list of people who were at the hospital, the problem is not knowing whether those exposed to the measles have had contact with other people in large gatherings or traveled outside their county."You spread it (the measles) before you feel bad," he said, adding that symptoms usually appear about a week after exposure.The confirmed case also prompted Maricopa County health officials to recommend that all exposed children who have not had at least one dose of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine to stay home from school or day care for the 21-day incubation period. Officials also said exposed adults who were born after 1957, have not had measles or have had only one MMR vaccine, should not go to work or public places for the same 21-day period.Health officials say two doses of the MMR vaccine provide full protection against measles.The Pinal County case also raises the possibility of exposure for other residents or visitors in the area, as the man who is now recovering visited various public locations while still infectious. Officials have compiled a list of businesses where the man visited Thursday and Friday, including a Kearny, Ariz. gas station and post office.Humble said the state has been in contact with health workers across Arizona, alerting them to measles symptoms."For many clinicians, it's an illness they've never seen," he said.According to Pinal County health officials, measles begins with a fever, red and watery eyes, a cough and a runny nose, followed by a red, raised and blotchy rash that begins on the head at the hairline and moves to the lower extremities. Symptoms typically appear seven to 12 days after exposure to measles but may take up to 21 days.The recent outbreak is thought to have originated at Disneyland before Christmas. The California Department of Public Health reported last week that the state has 59 confirmed cases, with 42 linked to Disneyland or California Adventure in Anaheim. The developer says it will proceed with the project as planned despite protests against it. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 28, 2015.The Datum Jelatek project in Taman Keramat, Selangor, will be built as planned despite protests against it, says the developer which has again dismissed claims by nearby residents that the predominantly Malay area will turn into a "Chinese district".DatumCorp International chief operating officer Shytul Shahryn Mohamad Shaari told The Malaysian Insider that the project would continue without further delay, even if more protests are planned."Disturbances like this are normal, but just as what Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) has said before, we will proceed with the work as it is beneficial to the people," he said.The RM1.2 billion Datum Jelatek project, which was started in 2008 on a 2.4-hectare land next to the Jelatek LRT Station, comprises four blocks of luxury condominiums, hotel, offices and a shopping centre.The condominium is to be built on the former site of four blocks of PKNS flats owned mostly by Malays, which were demolished in late 2010.The Datum Jelatek project received planning approval in November 2011 from the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council, but had been postponed several times, over a variety of issues.The latest which occurred last Sunday was by far the most rowdy when some 100 protesters turned aggressive and broke into the construction site.The angry residents began marching towards the site before proceeding to tear down the zinc barrier surrounding it, with several protesters trespassing on the site.However, police managed to bring the situation under control and the crowd soon dispersed. Two police trucks were seen at the site.Shytul again dispelled the wild claims made by the protesters that the area would be turned into a Chinese district and said that until now, not a single lot of the condominium had been sold."The issue of Malays being sidelined does not arise, the news which had been circulated was untrue, such as the sale of one or two blocks to foreign parties. That never happened."Shytul clarified that sales were done by DatumCorp, clarifying that not a single unit had been sold to anyone, nor had any money been collected."We only have a list of interested buyers," he told The Malaysian Insider.The developer had earlier said 1,097 Bumiputera buyers had registered their interest to buy 674 units in the project.Commenting on Sunday's incident, he explained that the developer had already met with residents in the area and claimed the majority of them had reacted positively to the project."I can guarantee that Keramat residents were not directly involved in the latest demonstrations as we had already met with them in stages."We have met more than 100 residents in the area, they are supportive of the project and many of them are also interested in buying from us."Shytul also gave assurances that the developer would give priority to Bumiputera buyers even though the PKNS quota for the project was 50% for Bumiputera and 50% for non-Bumiputera."We did not set the quota, the authorities did. However, at DatumCorp, we will try and sell as many units as possible to the Bumiputera," he said.On the issue that the selling price might be too steep, Shytul said factors such as location and easy amenities needed to be taken into consideration when valuing a property.The price of a unit at the project has been pegged at RM700,000."If a unit is sold at such a price in Rawang, then it might be a bit steep," Shytul told The Malaysian Insider.However, he said, if the property was in Kuala Lumpur, where Bumiputera buyers received a 10% discount and with development connected to the LRT and a shopping mall downstairs, then the price was appropriate.Shytul also denied the involvement of contractors from China in the construction of Datum Jelatek, saying the contractors who had been appointed were locals and selected through an open tender."The contractors who have been appointed are locals and chosen in an open process," he said.Following last Sunday’s rowdy protest, Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali had questioned whether the rowdy protesters who broke into the Datum Jelatek condominium construction site were actual residents of the area."Who are they? Are you sure? Are you sure they are locals? Besides Salleh (Samad, chairman of the Datum Jelatek Action Committee), who else was there?" he had asked.Azmin had said he was willing to meet the residents and listen to their objections over the project.He had said the state was duty-bound to ensure any project or development would not create racial tension.He had also denied that there were racial elements in the project as claimed by participants of the protest.Azmin had said despite the existence of Bumiputera quota, it must not be used as a sentiment that could hinder development in Selangor.Last November, Salleh and Keramat residents had held a peaceful protest at the Selangor state secretariat building in Shah Alam, urging an end to the project.Salleh had reportedly warned of possible "bloodshed" if Selangor proceeded with the project, saying it was a threat to the Malays. – January 28, 2015.

Tahap kesihatan Mursyidul Am PAS Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, yang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, dilaporkan bertambah baik hari ini dan dijangka pulang ke rumah dalam masa terdekat.

Anaknya Nik Mohamad Abduh berkata bapanya kini berupaya duduk di kerusi roda.

"Pagi ini doktor dan pihak hospital berkunjung ke rumah untuk melihat dan membantu kami menyempurnakan keperluan dan persiapan untuk ayahanda apabila dibenarkan pulang nanti," katanya menerusi catatan terbaharu di laman sosial Facebook beliau hari ini.

Nik Abdul Aziz, 84, dimasukkan ke HUSM pada 19 Jan lepas setelah tahap kesihatannya merosot ketika banjir baru-baru ini, selain menghidap kanser prostat.

Nik Abdul Aziz yang juga Anggota Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Chempaka merupakan menteri besar Kelantan kelima yang memegang jawatan itu dari 1990 hingga 2013.

Menteri Besar Selangor Azmin Ali mengajak rakan sekutu dalam Pakatan Rakyat - DAP dan PAS - agar menyelesaikan isu pilihan raya pihak berkuasa tempatan dalam mesyuarat Majlis Pimpinan Pakatan Rakyat.


"Ini perlu diselesaikan dalam Pakatan Rakyat. Saya pasti apabila kita memanggil untuk (mesyuarat) Majlis Pimpinan Pakatan, perkara ini akan dibincangkan.

"Kekuatan Pakatan Rakyat, kami bergerak dalam satu keputusan yang konsensus dan bukan berdasarkan pandangan peribadi," katanya kepada media.

Beliau berkata demikian bagi menjawab soalan pemberita berhubung berlaku pertentangan pandangan antara DAP dan PAS dalam isu pilihan raya PBT.

Sebelum ini, Presiden PAS Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang berkata pilihan raya tempatan berpotensi mengulangi peristiwa berdarah 13 Mei 1969.

Ekoran kenyataan tersebut, pelbagai pihak termasuk DAP mengkritik pandangan Hadi itu.

Manakala Ketua Umum PKR Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim pula menyifatkan kenyataan MP Marang itu sebagai kenyataan peribadi dan akan membincangkan perkara itu dalam Mesyuarat Majlis Pimpinan Pakatan Rakyat.

Bercakap selepas menyampaikan ucapan dalam pertemuan bulanannya dengan penjawat awam Selangor, Azmin berkata kerajaan negeri sebelum ini membuat perbincangan awal berhubung hal itu.

"Saya rasa ini patut diteruskan daripada tiga parti dengan duduk dan berbincang," kata MP Gombak itu.

"(Kita memutuskan) apa yang terbaik daripada pilihan yang ada. Yang pasti untuk kita membuat reformasi," katanya lagi.

Empat anggota polis dikaitkan dengan rakaman dan penyebaran klip video seorang penyanyi lelaki era 1990-an yang ditahan beberapa hari lalu berhubung kes dadah, telah ditukarkan ke bahagian operasi pejabat.
    
Ketua Polis Selangor Datuk Abdul Samah Mat berkata kesemua mereka masih bertugas di Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik tetapi tidak lagi terlibat dengan kerja berkaitan penyiasatan dan operasi.
    
"Mereka ditugaskan untuk kerja pejabat atau non-active task. Keputusan muktamad mengenai kedudukan mereka hanya akan dibuat selepas selesai siasatan," katanya kepada pemberita pada satu majlis di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Selangor di Shah Alam semalam.
   
Abdul Samah berkata pihaknya masih menyiasat sekiranya ada lagi anggota yang terlibat dalam insiden yang mencuri perhatian ramai itu kerana klip video yang tersebar di laman sosial itu memaparkan penyanyi berkenaan disuruh menyanyi dengan tangannya bergari ketika dalam tahanan.
    
Ia mendapat kecaman pelbagai pihak yang menyifatkannya sebagai tindakan membuli dan menjatuhkan maruah penyanyi itu.

Abdul Samah berkata siasatan mengenai insiden itu tetap dijalankan walaupun penyanyi berkenaan dilapor telah mengeluarkan kenyataan memaafkan anggota yang melakukan kesalahan itu.
    
"Kita tidak akan melindungi mana-mana anggota kerana ini kesalahan serius yang bukan hanya memalukan individu berkenaan malah ia turut mencemarkan kredibiliti Polis Diraja Malaysia," tegasnya.
    
Penyanyi itu dan seorang wanita yang ditahan dalam serbuan di sebuah rumah di Taman Keramat pada Rabu lepas, dibebaskan dengan jaminan polis hari ini dan tempoh reman empat hari terhadap mereka tidak disambung.

Secara tiba-tiba, bekas menteri kewangan Tun Daim Zainuddin menjadi tumpuan serangan media kem kerajaan dan juga pemimpin PKR.

Perkembangan itu menimbulkan tanda tanya, lebih-lebih lagi apabila media tersebut menyiarkan kenyataan pemimpin PKR berkenaan.

Sedangkan, kenyataan pemimpin parti berkenaan diketahui sukar muncul di media yang dikawal kerajaan.

Tindakan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) yang tangkas menyatakan kesudian untuk menyiasat tokoh perniagaan tersebut juga mengejutkan banyak pihak.

Daim, orang kuat bekas perdana menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, kini beralih arah dengan mengambil sikap menentang Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Teori konspirasi itu tercetus abila BN dan PKR kini sama-sama bersatu menentang Daim.

Mengulas perkembangan itu, MP DAP, Datuk Ariff Sabri menimbulkan spekulasi bahawa ia Najib mungkin membentuk persefahaman dengan ketua pembangkang Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, yang sedang menunggu rayuan ke atas hukuman penjara bagi kes Liwat II.

Namun, PKR melalui Ketua AMK Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad bertegas bahawa Anwar konsisten dalam membangkitkan mengenai kesalahan yang didakwa dilakukan oleh Daim sejak 1998.

Tapi Anwar juga secara konsisten membidas Dr Mahathir, bekas ketua polis negara Tan Sri Musa Hassan dan Peguam Negara Tan Sri Gani Patail sejak sedekad yang lalu.

Mengapa tokoh tersebut tidak mendapat liputan media, dan diserang oleh kerajaan dan pembangkang seperti Daim?

Teori konspirasi

Jadi, adakah teori konspirasi itu betul? Untuk memahaminya isu Daim ini, kita perlu melihat bagaimana isu ini timbul daripada awal lagi.

Daim, dalam wawancaranya dengan KiniBiz yang disiarkan akhir Februari tahun lalu, menyifatkan Anwar "lemah" ketika menghadapi pilihan raya kecil Kajang.

Anwar menyerang balasa pada 3 Mac dengan mendakwa Daim terlibat dengan kes rasuah dan mempunyai dana berbilion di Afrika dan Eropah Timur.

MP Bukit Katil Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin seterusnya meneruskan asakan dengan kempen anti-Daim dan mendesak pihak berkuasa menyiasat bekas menteri itu.
 
Bagaimanapun, desakan Shamsul itu tidak dipedulikan oleh pihak berkuasa dan menjadi hambar selepas pilihan raya kecil itu.

Beliau kemudiannya membangkitkan semula di Dewan Rakyat pada November tahun lalu dan sekali lagi pada bulan ini, sebelum disambut oleh jentera kerajaan yang turut serta menyerang Daim.

Shamsul, yang juga naib presiden PKR, berkata beliau menganggap penglibatan BN menyerang Daim hanya "secara kebetulan" dan menyifatkannya sebagai satu "bonus".
 
Beliau menolak andaian bahawa Anwar membentuk perjanjian dengan Najib demi mendapat kebebasannya.

Menurut Shamsul, PKR telahpun menyerang Daim ketika Anwar belum lagi dijatuhi hukuman – dan ketika itulah perseterusan terbuka di antara Mahathir dan Najib bermula.

The Internal Security Act was abolised after years of campaign by rights activists, but Putrajaya now says some of its provisions may be incorporated into a new law to fight terrorism. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 26, 2015.Four years after repealing the Internal Security Act (ISA), Putrajaya said it is considering may incorporate some of the provisions in the draconian law into a new act in the wake of threats of terrorism such as that posed by the Islamic state of Syria and Iraq (Isis).Deputy Home Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar told The Malaysian Insider that the new anti-terrorism bill, to be tabled at the next Parliament session in March, was necessary to curb terrorist activities in the country.“The government has promised that the ISA will not be restored, but perhaps after it is vetted, (the new law) will have provisions similar to the ISA," he said.Wan Junaidi said the new law would be divided into different sections, which would include punishment and preventive measures.“We want this new law, because with this new act we can divide it into different areas. There will be an area on punishment, one on prevention, one on rehabilitation, and much more."He said the recent terrorist attacks in Paris served as a lesson for Malaysia and a reminder to the government of the need to be careful in anticipating such violence.“We cannot wait for someone to bomb a building before we arrest him. No one in Malaysia wants that to happen.“Do you want what happened in Paris to occur here? Sometimes, we go on and on about democracy, but we have never asked ourselves how much of a democracy we want."

Anwar: Itu cuma 'kenyataan peribadi' Hadi

Ketua Umum PKR Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim menganggap kenyataan Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang bahawa pilihan raya tempatan berpotensi mengulangi peristiwa berdarah 13 Mei 1969, adalah pandangan peribadi presiden PAS itu.

Beliau berkata pelaksanaan pilihan raya itu perlu mengambil kira pandangan semua kaum.

Katanya lagi, ia perlu dibincangkan dalam mesyuarat Majlis Pimpinan Pakatan Rakyat sebelum membuat sebarang keputusan, lapor Sinar Harian Online hari ini.

“Kenyataan yang dikeluarkan beliau (Abdul Hadi) adalah pendapat peribadinya,” katanya seperti dilapor portal berita itu hari ini.

Ketika dihubungi Malaysiakini petang ini, Pengarah Komunikasi PKR Fahmi Fadzil menjelaskan bahawa tidak ada mesyuarat Majlis Pimpinan Pakatan Rakyat esok seperti yang dilaporkan.

Sebaliknya beliau menjelaskan bahawa Anwar akan menghubungi Abdul Hadi dan pemimpin DAP Lim Kit Siang berhubung isu itu.
 
Dalam kenyataannya Jumaat lalu, Abdul Hadi antara lain menyuarakan kerisauannya berhubung pilihan raya tempatan itu boleh mencetuskan jurang dan polarisasi serta ketegangan di antara penduduk bandar yang bermajoriti kaum Cina.

Hadi turut membayangkan yang pilihan raya tempatan akan memberikan kemenangan buat satu kaum dalam masyarakat berbilang kaum.

Kenyataannya itu mengundang kritikan pelbagai pihak termasuk DAP dan NGO.

Umno Pulau Pinang menyifatkan tindakan kerajaan negeri yang mahu melaksanakan pilihan raya Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) di negeri itu sebagai sikap tamak kuasa.
    
Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan Umno Pulau Pinang Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman berkata cadangan kerajaan negeri pimpinan Ketua Menteri Lim Guan Eng yang mahu pilihan raya itu diadakan juga membuktikan mereka mahu memegang kuasa pentadbiran di peringkat ketiga.
    
"Hakikatnya pilihan raya PBT memang tidak sesuai diadakan kerana ia mampu menimbulkan pergolakan kuasa dalam pentadbiran dalaman. Apabila kita mendedahkan PBT kepada hal ehwal politik, kita juga sebenarnya menggadaikan masa depan pengurusan pentadbiran negeri.
    
"Selepas ini, beribu-ribu orang hanya pandai berpolitik tetapi tidak boleh buat kerja," katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Majlis Keluargaku Ahli Umno dan Daftar Pemilih, di bangunan Tranformasi Umno Permatang Pauh, di Bukit Mertajam hari ini.
    
Turut hadir Setiausaha Umno negeri Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir dan Ketua Umno Bahagian Permatang Pauh Datuk Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said.

Isu pilihan raya PBT menjadi polemik hangat apabila DAP ingin melaksanakan cadangan itu di Pulau Pinang selepas ia dimansuhkan kerajaan pusat pada 1976.
    
Bagaimanapun, ia ditentang pelbagai pihak termasuk rakan sekutunya, PAS, yang mendakwa pelaksanaan pilihan raya PBT itu akan mencetuskan insiden rusuhan kaum seperti peristiwa 13 Mei 1969.
    
Sementara itu, Zainal Abidin berkata Umno Pulau Pinang berjaya mendaftarkan sebanyak 3,500 pemilih baharu dalam tempoh tiga bulan sejak Oktober tahun lepas menerusi Fasa 1 Program Daftar Pemilih Negeri.
   
Katanya jumlah memberangsangkan itu membuktikan Umno masih kekal relevan kepada masyarakat Melayu Pulau Pinang.

ผู้จัดงาน ร่ายจดหมายขอโทษหลัง เเทยอน (Taeyeon) Girls’ Generation ตกเวทีบาดเจ็บ!

หลังจากที่มีอุบัติเหตุไม่คาดคิดเกิดขึ้นกับ โซนยอชิแด-แทยอน ทางผู้จัดงาน Seoul Music Awards ได้ออกมากล่าวขอโทษอย่างเป็นทางการ เมื่อวันที่ 23 มกราคม เพียงหนึ่งวันหลังเกิดเหตุ

ทาง Seoul Music Awards ต้องกราบขออภัยเป็นอย่างยิ่งสำหรับอุบัติเหตุที่เกิดขึ้นกับแทยอน

สืบเนื่องจากเมื่อวันที่ 22 มกราคม ที่ผ่านมา ณ งานประกาศผลรางวัล Seoul Music Awards ครั้งที่ 24 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่ Seoul Olympic Stadium หลังจากที่สมาชิกของวงแททิซอ ซึ่งเป็นวงซับยูนิตของ Girls’ Generation ทำการแสดงเพลง Holler เสร็จ และกำลังจะเดินลงจากเวทีนั้น ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่คาดฝันขึ้นกับ แทยอน โดยทางเราต้องกราบขออภัยแทยอน และสมาชิกของวง รวมทั้งทางต้นสังกัด และแฟน ๆ ของเธอ ด้วยใจจริง

ทางเราขออธิบายเหตุการณ์โดยสรุปดังนี้

ภายหลังจากที่แทยอน และสมาชิกวงแททิซอทำการแสดงเพลง Holler เสร็จ หลังได้รับรางวัล Bonsang ขณะที่พวกเธอกำลังจะเดินลงจากเวทีนั้น พบว่าลิฟต์ซึ่งติดตั้งกับเวทีได้เลื่อนลงอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยเลื่อนลงไปประมาณ 1 เมตร จากเวทีที่มีความสูง 1.8 เมตร ด้วยเหตุนี้ แทยอน ซึ่งกำลังจะเดินลงจากเวที ได้ก้าวพลาดและตกลงไปในช่องว่าง ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นภายหลังที่ลิฟต์ได้เลื่อนลง เมื่อเกิดอุบัติเหตุดังกล่าว ทิฟฟานี่ และซอฮยอน เพื่อนสมาชิกร่วมวงและแดนเซอร์ที่อยู่ด้านหลังก็ได้เข้ามาช่วยดึงแทยอนกลับขึ้นมาบนเวทีอีกครั้ง ซึ่งทางฝ่ายจัดการเวทีอธิบายว่า ‘เนื่องจากงานเริ่มดำเนินไปอย่างล่าช้า ด้วยความเร่งรีบ จึงทำให้เกิดความผิดพลาดดังกล่าว’

จากเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น หลังจากที่สมาชิกในวงช่วยพาเธอลงมาจากเวที แทยอนได้ถูกพาไปโรงพยาบาลในทันที เพื่อวินิจฉัยอาการบาดเจ็บ โดยแพทย์ได้กล่าวกับเธอหลังวินิจฉัยอาการแล้วว่า ‘ไม่ได้บาดเจ็บอะไรมาก แต่กล้ามเนื้อสะโพกอักเสบเล็กน้อย’

และเมื่อวันที่ 23 มกราคม ทางผู้จัดงาน Seoul Music Awards ได้ติดต่อค่ายเพลงของแทยอน อย่าง SM Entertainment พร้อมทั้งกล่าวคำขออภัยถึงแทยอนและเหล่าสมาชิก พร้อมสัญญาว่าจะร่วมมือและติดตามความคืบหน้าในเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้น

ตัวแทน SM Entertainment ตอบกลับ “อาการบาดเจ็บของแทยอนไม่ได้ร้ายแรง ขอบคุณสำหรับความห่วงใย”

ทางผู้จัดงาน Seoul Music Awards ได้ตั้งใจทำงานและศึกษาในเรื่องความปลอดภัยเป็นอย่างมากและซ้อมหลายครั้ง แต่เหตุการณ์อันไม่คาดคิดก็เกิดขึ้น พวกเราจึงอยากจะกราบขออภัยเป็นอย่างมากถึงเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้น ทั้งแทยอน, สมาชิกของเธอ, ค่ายเพลงของเธอ และแฟน ๆ ที่เป็นห่วงแทยอน

พวกเราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าแทยอนจะอาการดีขึ้นในเร็ววันและกลับมาทำกิจกรรมโปรโมทกับแฟนๆ

ซึ่งในรีวิวนี้ ผมจะมาแนะนำที่พัก ชื่อว่า Lake Villa Kawaguchiko ครับ เมื่อเดือนพฤศจิกายน ช่วงใบไม้เปลี่ยนสีนั่นเองครับ เดินทางมาพร้อมกับครอบครัวทั้ง  5 คน ซึ่งความต้องการของเรา ต้องการแบบที่พักกว้างๆ สบายๆ มีห้องครัว ห้องนั่งเล่น มีบริเวณเดินเล่น ห้องน้ำดีๆ ห้องนอนสบายๆ และสถานที่ตั้งที่สามารถมองเห็นภูเขาไฟฟูจิได้ด้วย และที่สำคัญ มีอ่างแช่ออนเซ็นด้วย เลยหาข้อมูล จาก เว็บ booking.com หาไปเรื่อยๆ จนมาเจอที่แห่งนี้ครับ Lake Villa Kawaguchiko  จึงได้จองเป็นบ้านพัก บ้านไม้สน 2 ชั้น 2 ห้องนอน มีเป็นแบบเตียง และ เสื่อทาทามิ ห้องพักวิวภูเขาไฟฟูจิ มองเห็นชัดเจน มีห้องครัว เครื่องใช้ครบหมดทุกอย่าง จานข้าว ช้อนส้อม ถ้วย ชาม  ตู้เย็น ห้องทานข้าว ห้องน้ำ ทีวีจอแบนใหญ่ มีสวนหน้าบ้านพัก มีเครื่องทำความร้อน ห้องนั่งเล่น หน้าที่พัก มีตู้ขายเครื่องดื่ม พร้อมทุกอย่าง

บริเวณหน้าบ้านครับ มีพื้นที่ ทางเดินเข้าไปสู่บ้าน มีระเบียงบ้าน  และด้านหน้าเป็นสวนหน้าบ้าน ตื่นเช้ามา ออกมายืดเส้นยืดสาย สบายๆ มากเลย บ้านหลังนี้มี 2 ชั้นครับ บ้านไม้สน ดูจากภายนอกแล้วอบอุ่นมากๆ ชอบบ้านแบบนี้มากๆ

ถ่ายจากชั้นสองครับ บริเวณด้านหน้า มีโต๊ะ เก้าอี้พร้อมเลย ไว้นั่งสังสรรค์กันได้ แต่อากาศหนาวๆ จริง 555

พอ check in เสร็จพี่ Hiro ที่เป็นผู้ดูแล พาไปส่งถึงที่พักเลย พร้อมกับรถลากคันเล็กๆ น่ารักๆ อยากจะบอกว่า พี่ Hiro คนนี้บริการดีมากๆ เป็นกันเอง พูดภาษาอังกฤษสื่อสารได้ดีมากเลยครับ เขาจะอธิบายหมด ว่าอะไร อยู่ที่ไหน ทำอย่างไร แถวๆ นี้มีร้านอาหารใกล้ๆ ไหม เช่าจักรยานที่ไหน (ที่นี่ไม่มีให้เช่าจักรยานครับ) ที่นี่มีออนเซ็น สามารถใช้บริการได้ แต่เป็นแบบรวม แบ่งโซนเป็น 2 ห้อง ชาย หญิง ครับ

หน้าตาที่ออนเซ็นครับ จะเป็นบ้านหลังหนึ่งเลย สะอาดมากๆ ตกแต่งสวยงาม เรียบง่าย มีเป็นโซน ด้านใน และ ด้านนอก ให้แช่กัน หากแช่เบื่อแล้ว เราสามารถยืนดูจากตรงอ่างได้เลย จะเห็นภูเขาไฟฟูจิตรงหน้าเต็มๆ ตาเลย
และแล้วก็ถึงเวลาเข้าไปชมด้านในของบ้านที่เราพักแล้วครับ
โดยเราเลือกเป็น Standard Cottage เข้าพักได้มากสุด 6 คน ในบ้านพักมี Internet Wi-fi ให้ใช้แรงใช้ได้ครับสัญญาณดี ต้องขอรหัส Wi-fi พี่ Hiro เขาก่อนเข้าพัก

พอเข้ามาด้านในก็จะเจอที่วางรองเท้า และมีรองเท้าที่ไว้ใส่ในบ้านให้ใส่กัน เพื่อความสะอาดในห้องพัก

พอเดินเข้ามา ก็จะเจอโต๊ะกินข้าว ใหญ่ กว้างดีครับ ด้านขวามือจะมี โซฟา นั่งเล่นสบายๆ

พอเดินเข้าไปอีก จะมี เคาเตอร์บาร์ เจ๋งจริงๆ ห้องพักที่มี เคาเตอร์บาร์ในบ้าน เพราะเวลาเรามาเป็นครอบครัว เราจะทำอาหารกินเอง มื้อใหญ่ๆ อย่างพวกสุกี้  พอเวลาทำเสร็จเราก็จะนำอาหารที่ทำเสร็จมาวางพัก ได้สะดวก เพื่อนำไปวางบนโต๊ะอาหาร

และทีวีก็จอใหญ่มากเลย มีช่องเคเบิ้ล และ ทีวีท้องถิ่นครบหมดครับ ภาพชัด
เข้าไปในห้องครัวกันครับ ว่ามีอุปกรณ์ เครื่องใช้ อะไรเตรียมไว้ให้เราบ้าง ในการประกอบอาหาร

ในภาพจะมีอ่างล้างจาน ใหญ่พอสมควร มีชุดน้ำยาล้างจาน ที่ขัด อะไรครบบริการให้เราหมด ไม่ต้องชื้อไรใหม่เข้าบ้านเลย และก็มีเตา 2 เตาครับ เตาใหญ่ และก็เล็ก เป็นแบบเตาแก๊สครับ ไฟแรงดี อิอิ และด้านหลังจะมีเป็น ที่แยกขยะ มี 4 ถัง พวกขยะรีไซเคิล กับ พลาสติก และอื่นๆ แยกไว้ชัดเจนเลย และก็มีหม้อหุงข้าว กาน้ำร้อน ที่ชงกาแฟ ไมโครเวฟ  มีครบมาก คือเราไม่ต้องแบกไรจากไทยไปเลยครับ

ที่นี้มีบริการจานข้าว ถ้วยน้ำ แก้วกาแฟ กาใส่ชาแบบญี่ปุ่น ถ้วยน้ำซุป ให้พร้อมมากๆ สะดวกจริงๆ

ห้องนั่งเล่น ห้องครัว เรียบร้อยแล้ว ได้เวลาไปดูห้องนอนกันแล้วครับ ซึ่งห้องนอนจะอยู่ชั้น 2 เดินขึ้นบันได

บ้านหลังนี้จะมี  2 ชั้น ห้องนอนจะแบ่งเป็น 2 ห้องนะครับ มีเป็นเตียง 3 เตียงและ อีกห้องหนึ่งจะเป็นเสื่อทาทามิ (ใช้รึเปล่าครับ) เตียงห้องนี้นุ่มมาก เวลานอนอบอุ่นมากครับ

 
ส่วนอีกห้องหนึ่ง จะเป็นแบบเสื่อทาทามิ ครับ มีฮีทเตอร์ในห้องด้วย ให้พ่อกับแม่ นอนเตียงสบายๆ ดีกว่า ส่วนลูกๆ ขอนอนพื้นนะครับ ที่นอนที่นี่หนามาก นุ่มด้วย นอนหลับสบาย ตื่นมาไม่ปวดหลังเลย ผ้าห่มก็อบอุ่นมากๆ
ห้องกว้างมากๆ เลยครับ เวลานอนไม่รู้สึกอึดอัดเลย คือมีพื้นที่ใช้งานเยอะมากๆ

 
สิ่งสุดท้าย เกือบลืมไปซะสนิทเลย ก็คือ ห้องน้ำครับ แหะๆ

ห้องน้ำกว้างดีครับ สะอาด มีอ่างไว้แช่ตัวด้วย มีสบู่ แชมพูพร้อม ก่อนเข้าห้องน้ำ ก็มีอ่างล้างหน้า แปรงสีฟัน ผ้าเช็ดตัวพร้อมครับ

เป็นอย่างไรบ้างครับ กับ รีวิวบ้านพัก Lake Villa Kawaguchiko ผมว่าหากมาเป็นแบบครอบครัว หรือกลุ่มเพื่อนๆ ที่มากันเยอะๆ น่าจะเหมาะมากๆ การเดินทางมาที่นี้ ห่างจาก  Kawaguchiko Train Station ด้วยการเดินทางโดยรถยนต์ 15 นาที หรือจะโทรไปหาทางนั้น ให้ขับรถมารับก็ได้ครับ สะดวกดี

และไม่ไกลมาก หากจะไปเดินเล่นริมทะเลสาบ Kawaguchiko เพียง 5 นาทีก็ถึงแล้ว

วิวหน้าบ้านพักครับ จะเห็นภูเขาไฟฟูจิ สวยงามมากๆ

ด้านใน ออนเซ็นครับ มีที่อาบน้ำ ก่อนลงแช่พร้อมเลย มีห้องแต่งตัวสะอาดดีครับ
อภัยด้วยครับที่ถ่ายด้านใน แต่ตอนนั้นไม่มีใครอยู่เลยครับ อยากถ่ายมาลงรีวิว จะได้ให้เพื่อนเห็นภาพด้านในครับ
